How to switch to annual billing

When first activating a plan

1. Go to Settings -> Plan and billing.
2. Select the desired plan (Pro or Business).
3. On the payment screen, switch the period to "Annually".
4. Confirm payment.

When switching from a monthly subscription

1. Go to Settings -> Billing.
2. Click "Change billing period".
3. Select "Annually".
4. Confirm payment.

How payment is calculated when switching

When switching from monthly to annual billing in the middle of a billing period:

1. The remaining balance from the current unused monthly period is credited toward the annual subscription cost.
2. Only the difference is charged.
3. The new billing period (12 months) starts from the moment of the switch.

Example

You are on the Pro plan (2,900 RUB/mo), paid on June 1. You switch to the annual plan on June 15:

• Unused balance for June: ~1,450 RUB (15 out of 30 days)
• Annual subscription cost: 27,840 RUB
• Amount due: 27,840 - 1,450 = 26,390 RUB
• Next charge: June 15 of the following year

Refund policy

Switching from annual to monthly billing

Switching to monthly billing takes effect after the current paid annual period ends. Until then, you continue to use all plan features.

Canceling subscription

When canceling an annual subscription:

• Plan features are available until the end of the paid year
• Refund for unused months is possible by contacting support
• After the period ends, the account transitions to the Free plan

Downgrading

When downgrading to a lower plan (e.g., from Business to Pro) within an annual subscription:

• The difference is prorated based on the remaining months
• The overpayment is credited as a balance for future charges

Annual subscription renewal

14 and 3 days before the annual period ends, tikento sends a reminder via email and Telegram. Renewal happens automatically if the card is valid and has sufficient funds.

If the charge fails, the standard grace period is triggered: 3 days past_due, then 7 days grace, followed by downgrade to Free.

When annual billing makes sense

An annual subscription makes sense if:

• You are confident you will use tikento for a full year
• You want to save up to 35,760 RUB (on Business)
• You prefer a single payment instead of monthly charges
• You want to reduce the risk of downgrade due to a missed payment
