Trial, grace period, and plan transitions

14-day Pro trial

Every new tikento account automatically receives a 14-day Pro trial from the moment of registration.

What the trial includes

The trial provides full access to Pro plan features:

  • Up to 25 concurrent events
  • Up to 500 participants per event
  • 5,000 emails per month
  • No watermark
  • Own acquiring (BYOD)
  • B2B Invoice

What happens at the end of the trial

After 14 days without payment, the account automatically transitions to the Free plan. Data is not deleted.

If events or participants exceeding Free limits were created during the trial, they are marked as archived (see the Downgrade section below).

Activating a paid plan

To switch to a paid plan:

  1. Go to Settings -> Plan and billing.
  2. Select the desired plan.
  3. Enter card details or choose another payment method.
  4. Confirm the subscription.

The transition happens instantly -- features are available immediately after payment.

How billing works

The subscription is charged monthly (or annually with a 20% discount) on the plan activation date. The next charge date is displayed in the "Billing" section.

Card details are stored in encrypted form through the payment gateway (card data is not stored on tikento servers).

Grace period on non-payment

If the subscription is not paid (card declined, insufficient funds):

PeriodStatusWhat happens
0--3 dayspast_due3 charge attempts at 24-hour intervals. Features continue to work.
4--10 daysgracePayment reminder notifications. Features are restricted.
11+ daysdowngradeAutomatic transition to Free.

In grace status, reminders are sent via email and Telegram. Update your card details through Settings -> Billing -> "Update payment method".

Downgrade (transitioning to a lower plan)

Downgrade can happen:

  • Automatically -- on non-payment after the grace period
  • Manually -- you downgraded the plan yourself

What happens to data

Data is never deleted. On downgrade:

  • Events and participants within the new plan's limits continue to work.
  • Objects exceeding limits (e.g., the 10th event when transitioning to Free with a limit of 5) receive the archived_due_to_downgrade status.

Archived objects:

  • Cannot be edited or used for participant registration
  • Are available only for viewing and data export
  • Are automatically restored when returning to the appropriate plan

Example: downgrade from Pro to Free

20 active events5 active + 15 archived
Team of 8 people3 active + 5 archived

Canceling a subscription

To cancel: Settings -> Billing -> "Cancel subscription".

The subscription continues until the end of the paid period. After it ends, the account transitions to Free with all data preserved.

Frequently asked questions

Is a card required to activate the trial?
No. The 14-day Pro trial is activated automatically upon registration without linking a card. No payment is required until the trial ends.
Can the trial be extended?
The trial is not automatically extended. Under special circumstances (technical issues on our side), contact support.
