When Manual Payment Is Needed
Manual payment is used when money from the attendee is received outside the platform:
- Cash at the event
- Bank transfer by bank details
- Through a third-party service (e.g., messenger transfer)
- By invoice for B2B clients (if automatic B2B Invoice is not connected)
tikento records the payment in the system but does not process the money — the settlement happens directly between you and the attendee.
How to Confirm Payment Manually
Method 1: From the Attendee List
- Open the event → Attendees.
- Find the attendee (by name, email, or registration number).
- Click on the attendee row or the "..." button on the right.
- Select "Confirm payment".
- Enter the amount, date, and payment method (cash / transfer / other).
- Click "Save".
The attendee's status will change from "Awaiting payment" to "Paid". A confirmation email will be automatically sent to the attendee.
Method 2: Via the Mobile App (Offline Mode)
If you are working without internet at the event:
- Open the attendee list in tikento (it is saved locally for offline use).
- Find the attendee and mark the payment.
- When connectivity returns, the data will sync automatically.
Method 3: Bulk Confirmation
To confirm payment for multiple attendees at once:
- In the attendee list, check the boxes next to the desired attendees.
- In the action bar that appears, select "Mark as paid".
- Confirm the action.
Setting Up a Ticket Type for Manual Payment
When creating a ticket type, you can choose whether manual payment is available for it:
- In the Tickets section, open the desired type.
- In the payment settings, enable "Manual payment".
- If needed, add instructions for the attendee (these will be displayed on the registration page).
For example: "Pay in cash at the registration desk on the day of the event."
Canceling a Manually Confirmed Payment
If you need to cancel a previously recorded payment:
- Open the attendee's card.
- In the payment section, click "Cancel payment".
- Confirm the action.
The status will return to "Awaiting payment". No notification is sent to the attendee — do this manually if needed.
