Saving a demo session to your account

What is demo claim

Demo claim is the process of transferring data from a demo session to a full tikento account. All events, forms, and settings created in the demo are saved to your real profile. You continue working without losing any data.

When to save

The demo session lasts 48 hours. After that, the temporary tenant and all data are automatically deleted. Save your data before the session expires.

Signs it's time to save:

  • You've set up a form and want to use it for a real event.
  • You've shown the platform to colleagues and decided to start working.
  • A countdown timer to demo expiration has appeared in the dashboard.

How to save the demo to an account

Step 1. Click the save button

While the demo session is active, a banner with the "Save to my account" button is displayed at the top of the screen. Click it.

Step 2. Choose a sign-up method

The authorization screen will open. There are 5 methods available:

  • Email and password — enter your email, create a password, confirm the email.
  • Google — sign in with a Google account.
  • Yandex — sign in with Yandex ID.
  • VK — sign in with VK ID.
  • Telegram — confirm sign-in in the Telegram app.

If you already have an tikento account, choose "Sign in" instead of registering. The demo data will be added to your existing account.

Step 3. Wait for the transfer

After successful authentication, tikento automatically transfers the demo session data:

  • The test event with all its settings
  • The registration form with fields and logic
  • Demo attendees and their submissions
  • All changes you made during the demo

The process takes a few seconds. When it's done, you'll be in a full dashboard with all your data.

If something goes wrong

Technical error during transfer

If the data transfer fails for technical reasons:

  • The account is still created — you won't be left without access.
  • An empty dashboard with onboarding will open.
  • The system response will include the error.
  • Contact support — we'll help recover the data from the demo session.

Demo session expired

If the 48 hours have passed, the demo data cannot be recovered. Register an account the normal way and create an event from scratch. You'll automatically receive a 14-day Pro trial upon registration.

Lost access to the demo

The demo session is tied to your browser. If you cleared cookies, switched devices, or used incognito mode, access to the demo is lost. Save your data before closing the tab.

After saving

After the demo claim, your account works like any other:

  • A 14-day Pro trial activates automatically — full access to all features with no credit card required.
  • You can connect a payment gateway and start accepting payments.
  • Email notifications for attendees become active.
  • The event can be published and the link shared.

When the trial ends, the account transitions to the Free plan. Data is never deleted on a downgrade.

Frequently asked questions

How much time do I have to save demo data?
48 hours from when the demo session started. After that, the temporary tenant and all data are permanently deleted.
Can I save the demo if I already have an account?
Yes. When you click 'Save to my account', you can sign in to an existing account — the demo data will be added to your current organizations.
What data exactly is transferred during demo claim?
The event, configured registration form, demo attendees, and all changes you made during the demo session. Payment gateway settings are not transferred since they are inactive in the demo.
What happens if I close the tab during the claim?
The account has already been created — your sign-in credentials are saved. The demo data transfer may complete in the background. If the data doesn't appear, sign in to your account and contact support.
