Available sign-in methods
tikento supports 5 authentication providers. All of them provide the same access to the platform.
Email and password
The classic method: enter your email and create a password (minimum 8 characters). After registration, you'll need to confirm your email — a message will arrive with a link or a 6-digit code (valid for 15 minutes).
To recover your password, use the "Forgot password?" link on the sign-in page.
Sign in with a Google account. After clicking "Sign in with Google", you'll be redirected to Google's page; once confirmed, you'll be sent back to tikento. No password to remember.
Yandex
Sign in with a Yandex ID account. Convenient for Yandex ecosystem users. The process is the same as Google: redirect, confirmation, return to tikento.
VK (VK ID)
Sign in with VK ID. Well-suited for Russian-speaking users, especially those planning to use the VK Mini App. The process is the same as other OAuth providers.
Telegram
Sign in with a Telegram account. Tap "Sign in with Telegram" and confirm in the Telegram app. This method is automatically activated for Telegram Mini App users.
Telegram data signature is verified on the server (HMAC-SHA256) — this is a secure method that doesn't involve transmitting a password.
Linking multiple providers
You can use multiple sign-in methods for a single account:
- Sign in to tikento using any available method.
- Open Profile settings > Sign-in methods.
- Click "Link" next to the desired provider.
- Complete the standard authentication flow.
Next time, you can sign in using any of your linked methods.
Unlinking a provider
In the same "Sign-in methods" section, click "Unlink" next to the provider. You cannot unlink the last linked method — add another one first.
After unlinking Google or Yandex, you may receive a notification email — this is standard security behavior.
Two-factor authentication
For the Owner and Admin roles, two-factor authentication (2FA) is mandatory and is automatically enabled upon first sign-in with that role.
