Linking multiple sign-in methods

Linking additional sign-in methods gives you:

  • Convenience — sign in however suits you best: Google at work, Telegram from your phone, VK ID on your personal computer.
  • Reliability — if one provider is unavailable (changed your Google password, deleted Telegram), you can still sign in another way.
  • Telegram Mini App — by linking Telegram, you'll be automatically authenticated in the Mini App without additional sign-in.

Available providers

ProviderHow to link
Email and passwordEnter email + create a password
GoogleRedirect to Google sign-in page
YandexRedirect to Yandex ID sign-in page
VK (VK ID)Redirect to VK ID sign-in page
TelegramConfirmation in the Telegram app
  1. Sign in to tikento using any available method.
  2. Open Settings > Sign-in methods.
  3. Find the provider you want in the list. Unlinked providers have a "Link" button.
  4. Click "Link".
  5. Complete the standard authentication flow with the provider:
    • For Google / Yandex / VK — redirect to the provider's page, confirmation, and return to tikento.
    • For Telegram — confirm the request in the Telegram app.
    • For email — enter an email, create a password, and confirm the email via the link in the message.
  6. After a successful link, the provider status will change to "Linked".

A notification about the new sign-in method will be sent to the account email.

What if the provider's email matches another account

If the email associated with an OAuth provider is already used in another tikento account, the system will offer a choice: link the provider to the current account or sign in to the existing one. Two accounts with the same email cannot exist.

  1. Open Settings > Sign-in methods.
  2. Find the provider with the "Linked" status.
  3. Click "Unlink".
  4. Confirm the action.

Unlinking restrictions

  • You cannot unlink the last provider. If you only have one sign-in method linked, the "Unlink" button will be disabled. Link another provider first.
  • When unlinking email sign-in, the password is deleted. If you need to re-link email later, you'll need to create a new password.

Auto-linking when emails match

If you registered via email and then sign in with Google/Yandex/VK using the same email, tikento automatically links the OAuth provider to your account. You'll receive a notification about the new sign-in method.

Security notifications

On every link or unlink action:

  • A notification is sent to the account email with the date, time, and provider type.
  • The event is recorded in the audit log.
  • If you receive a linking notification you didn't initiate, change your password immediately and contact support.

Frequently asked questions

How many providers can I link to one account?
All 5: email and password, Google, Yandex, VK (VK ID), and Telegram. Each of them leads to the same account with shared data.
What happens to my data when I link a new provider?
Nothing changes. Linking adds an additional sign-in method to the same account. Your data, organizations, and events stay exactly as they are.
Can I unlink all providers?
No. The system won't let you unlink the last remaining provider — you must have at least one active sign-in method.
Is there a notification when a new provider is linked?
Yes. When a new sign-in method is linked, a security notification is sent to the account email. If you didn't link the provider, change your password immediately.
