When to use duplication
Duplication is useful when you run similar events and don't want to fill in all the settings from scratch each time:
- Monthly meetups
- A series of workshops with the same format
- An annual conference with an updated date
- Training sessions with a fixed program
How to duplicate an event
- Go to the "Events" section in the dashboard.
- Find the event you want to copy.
- Click "..." (actions menu) next to the event.
- Select "Duplicate".
- Enter a new slug for the copy.
- Click "Create copy".
The copy is created in "Draft" status — you can edit any parameters before publishing.
What is copied
| Parameter | Copied |
|---|---|
| Name and description | yes |
| Event type | yes |
| Registration form (all fields and logic) | yes |
| Tickets and price tiers | yes |
| Ticket options (transfer, meals, etc.) | yes |
| Promo codes | yes |
| Age restriction | yes |
| Visibility settings | yes |
| Venue | yes |
What is NOT copied
| Parameter | Reason |
|---|---|
| Registrations and attendees | each event starts from zero |
| Payments and transactions | tied to specific registrations |
| Statistics and reports | generated from event data |
| Slug | must be unique |
| Dates (start, end) | need to set new ones |
| Status | copy is always created as a draft |
After duplicating
Be sure to check and update:
- Dates — set the current start and end dates
- Slug — make sure the new slug is clear and readable
- Description — update any details that have changed
- Tickets — check prices and quotas
- Promo codes — update codes and expiration dates if needed
When everything is ready, click "Publish".
