Before deleting
Account deletion is an irreversible operation. Before proceeding, we recommend the following steps.
Export your data
All data can be exported for free on any plan:
- Open Settings > Data and export.
- Click "Export all data".
- Choose a format: CSV, XLSX, or JSON.
- Wait for the archive to be prepared and download the file.
The export includes: events, attendees, registrations, payments, forms, and settings. The file is available for download for 7 days.
Transfer ownership
If you are the sole Owner of an organization and there are other staff members:
- Open Organization settings > Team.
- Assign another member as Owner.
- Confirm that the new owner has accepted the role.
If you don't transfer ownership, the organization and all its events will be deactivated when your account is deleted.
Cancel your active subscription
If you have a paid subscription:
- Open Settings > Billing.
- Click "Cancel subscription".
- The subscription will remain active until the end of the paid period, then the account will transition to the Free plan.
When deleting an account with an active subscription, the remaining balance is not refunded. We recommend canceling the subscription first and waiting for the paid period to end.
How to delete your account
- Sign in to tikento.
- Open Profile settings > Delete account (at the bottom of the page).
- Read the warning about the consequences.
- Enter your email for confirmation.
- If 2FA is enabled, enter a one-time code from the authenticator app.
- Click "Delete account permanently".
Deletion takes effect immediately.
What happens when you delete
Personal data
In accordance with 152-FZ (personal data protection law), tikento performs anonymization:
- Name, surname, email, and phone are replaced with anonymized values.
- Avatar is deleted.
- OAuth provider links (Google, Yandex, VK, Telegram) are severed.
- Password and 2FA keys are destroyed.
- Personal data is not retained in any logs — it is also anonymized in the audit log.
Events and organizations
- If you're the sole Owner: all organization events are set to "Cancelled" status, and attendee data is anonymized.
- If the organization has other Owners or Admins: your account is removed from the organization, but it continues to operate.
- Published events with active registrations: attendees receive a cancellation notification (if there's another administrator, they decide whether to cancel the event).
Payments
- Payment history is preserved in anonymized form for accounting purposes (legal requirement).
- Pending refunds are processed to completion.
- No new payments can be made for your events after deletion.
Technical archive copy
An anonymized archive copy of account data is stored in cold storage for 30 days after deletion. This is needed for resolving potential disputes (e.g., a pending refund). After 30 days, the copy is permanently deleted.
Alternative to deletion
If you want to temporarily stop using tikento without deleting your data:
- Cancel your subscription — the account will transition to the free plan. Your data is preserved.
- Unpublish your events — move active events back to draft. Attendees won't be able to register, but data will remain.
- Leave the organization — if you're not the only member, you can leave the organization without deleting your account.
